From a 1930’s Berlin-nightclub-inspired show called Cabaret! Cabaret!  (“…kitsch of the highest order”- Time Out) to a singing and dancing spot at the infamous Soho nightclub Madame JoJo’s (“…refugee from Seaside Special” – Time Out), David’s journey towards the West End stage finally led him to the London School of Musical Theatre (“…thank goodness” – Time Out)

David has been an evil priest (Hope), a villain (Jack and the Beanstalk), a villainess (Cinderella), a bear (Goldilocks), a bag-lady and a has-been actor (Creatures of the Night). He was also one of the naked “skin cells” in a recent Sanex advertising campaign. David’s one man shows have appeared in the West End, Sussex, South London, Devon, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and Germany: in January 2009, he appeared with David Hubery in his show “Heroes and Villains” at Harborough Theatre. David sang the tenor solo part for The Phoenix Choir (Church Langton) in their recent concert of Handel’s “Messiah”.

In October 2009 you could have seen David creating the role of “Mick” in “The 80s Strikes Back” (Wellingborough). He also co-starred in the acclaimed musical “Songs for a New World” (New Players Theatre, London). 2010 has seen him in “Musicals On Tour” touring around the East Midlands, and recently in an advert for carpets (don’t ask!)

The West End and cabaret star Morag McLaren asked him to write a song for her one woman show. As I Am was premiered by Morag at London’s famous cabaret venue Pizza On The Park.
